AI Is Powerful, But Only With Strategy
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has quickly become one of the most talked about tools in business. But without strategy, it creates overwhelm instead of efficiency.

AI itself is not new, it’s just evovling…rapidly. In the 80’s it was coined as “Expert Systems” that computers were mimicking human decision-making. Int the 90’s and 2000’s “Machine Learning” took off. Personally, I worked on systems in 1999 when Y2K was a topic and a concern. In 2000, I was selling advertising for the Yellow Pages, backed by Yahoo and their Behavioral Targeting. In those times, Yahoo was bigger than Google and AOL and Yahoo collected tons of data that was used for creating personas and marketing.
This was a great era because, the biggest advertisers helped perfect bugs, issues, and ROI when targeting on an audience using their own dime. Couple the emergence of cell phones, tablets, and AI should support your voice, not replace it. When aligned properly, it helps with planning, content, follow up, and consistency. When misused, it adds noise.
Strategy always comes before tools.
Why This Matters:
Intentional AI use saves time and increases impact.
Action Steps:
• Use AI for planning and outlining
• Keep your brand voice front and center
• Apply AI to one area before expanding
